Dijitalpark Teknokent was established on 21 May 2019 by Presidential decree, in partnership between Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University and the Turkish-German University, and began its operations on 1 June 2020. Created to add value to Turkey's technology, R&D, innovation, and entrepreneurship ecosystem, Dijitalpark Teknokent is a strategic technology development zone that supports knowledge- and technology-based economic development.

With its presence in Istanbul Çekmeköy, Istanbul Ataşehir, and the Zihni Derin Campus of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University, Dijitalpark Teknokent brings together academic knowledge, the production power of the private sector, and an entrepreneurial vision under a single ecosystem. This multi-location structure offers technology-based companies, entrepreneurs, and researchers opportunities for growth and collaboration across different fields.
